Vermont Hotel

The Vermont Hotel

In a central yet secluded spot in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, between the famous Quayside and the main shopping and dining areas of the city, is the 101-room Vermont Hotel (www.vermont-hotel.com): Castle Garth, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, NE1 1RQ. Under new owners, as of two years ago, with a major refurbishment programme which will be complete by 2015, the Vermont is one of the finest hotels in one of the liveliest cities in the UK.

Hotel bar

The Ballroom is our con hall and we have a dedicated bar right next to it. Bedrooms are £97 per night for double occupancy or £87 single occupancy. These are £12 below the 2015 standard rates for the newly refurbished hotel, and include breakfast (worth up to £15, depending how much you eat) and all relevant taxes.

The hotel has direct access down to the Quayside with all its restaurants, the Millennium Bridge and the Tyne’s other world-renowned bridges, the Sage concert hall, and the Baltic art gallery. The city is full of classic pubs with real ales, as well as restaurants, art galleries, museums and shops.

Transport links are easy: the hotel is only six minutes on foot from Newcastle Central railway station, which is a single Metro ride from Newcastle Airport.
